Please forgive the silence of the past month. Life closes in on you sometimes and it takes time to get things back to normal. I am grateful that God gives us vacations so we can rest and recover.
Vacation is a wonderful thing. Especially when we are aware of blessings the Lord bestows on us daily.
The drive was beautiful; spring air, cool and refreshing as we drove through the mountains. Time away to; catch our breath, allow our minds to be quiet, let our bodies rest, just be together is a wonderful thing.
Seeing all the beauty of God’s creation lifted our spirits. Driving through highway 7 from Hot Springs to Russelville was so much fun. And again, we didn’t get any pictures. Pulling off the highway would have been okay, but somehow we get so involved in watching the scenery go by we never think of it. One day we will.
Being with my Sister and her family was fun. Having time to; catch up with each other, sharing our dreams and concerns lifts a burden, after all, no-one knows you like a sibling.
We spent three and a half days with my Sis and her family then headed home by a different route so we could see our parents. The visit there was short and very sweet. Feeling the love envelop me as I walk into Mom & Dad’s house fills my cup. I am so very thankful that God gave me to them. They raised me to love the Lord and when I was grown, or at least I thought I was at age 19, they let me go. They support me in whatever I do, give advice when needed. In short they are always there.
God has blessed me with a wonderful family. Parents (including my Dear Husband's father), brother, sister, husband, children, daughter-in-law, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, etc….. Thank you Father for your blessing on this family, may each one of us bring glory to your name. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
Next; I write about my present journey with the Lord and what I am learning.
